Alberta’s Drumheller started out with grand prospects. Named after an
ambitious coal prospector, the region experienced a huge population
boom during the height of the coal era but subsequently hollowed out as
resources began to dwindle.

In fact, the only thing “dead” about the park is its natural horse
corral, the geographical feature for which the park got its name.
